CENTRAL SAINT MARTINS - FACE zine, Final Project, Fashion CommunicationLONDON2024FACE explores the human body as a site of manipulation, reproduction, and artificial reconstruction.Originating from archival research and analogue image distortion, the project examines how identity is continuously altered through cultural, aesthetic, and technological systems. Images were scanned, photocopied, stretched, and degraded, losing their original function and becoming material.A distorted photograph of a collaborator was transferred onto latex to construct a garment, allowing the body to wear its own altered image. The subject became both source and surface.Presented as a publication, FACE exists as a fragmented visual system where identity is no longer fixed, but continuously mediated, reproduced, and destabilized.
